Our Process
The discovery phase. We meet at your home and get to know you, your lifestyle, needs, desires and listen to your ideas and vision.
Ideas are exchanged and we talk about our service and value we bring to your project. We determine the project scope, general timeline and budget range.
After our initial meeting, the scope of design work and project vision is established. We prepare a detailed design fee estimate and Agreement letter for your review including; scope of work, estimated timeline, flat design fee and payment terms.
Once the Agreement letter is executed and the initial design fee is received the project begins! We begin with a creative design plan including development of your inspiration board with visual and tangible examples for concept direction.
In this phase we schedule a day to assess current inventory, measure and photograph the existing space for design reference. This is an important phase in accurately taking measurements and determining what furnishings and fixtures will be incorporated into the design.
We may elect to invite trades and/or contractors to discuss feasibility of initial concepts and ideas. Quotes and estimates may also be requested.
In this phase we further develop your design through drawings, plans, elevations, and renderings (as needed) to document design direction.
This takes time as selections and conceptual design may include architectural finishes, millwork details, fabrics, and custom furnishings. A sampling of materials, color stories and photos of furnishings and fixtures are sourced and quoted. Quotes and estimates from trades people are also gathered to include in the overall budget for our upcoming meeting.
In this phase we go over the creative design plan in detail with drawings, samples, pictures, digital presentation boards and selections. This meeting is exciting as you will see the full design potential. We believe in presenting our best option and discuss your thoughts and address questions.
With your final approval, the furnishings proposal and agreement is signed, furnishings payment is collected and we move to procurement.
Should a follow up meeting be necessary for final approvals we modify or revise final design details requested. Upon agreement of final creative design and any necessary adjustments to budget, we move to the next phase.
We work with trades and handle all details of administering the design including any construction or renovation for the project. As needed we meet with builders, vendors, fabricators and other contractors hired to carry out specifications as per our plans and implementation of your design.
Purchase orders are prepared, orders are tracked, lead times confirmed. Furnishings and décor items are received in a local warehouse then inspected and catalogued, if any items arrive damaged we take care of the claims and reorders for final scheduled delivery and installation.
The big day has arrived! Projects, depending on size and availability may take place over one or two days with deliveries, installations, and styling.
We will walk through the finished space, point out features and benefits, provide care specifications and available warranties.
We always strive for excellence however during install some items may have been missed, we strive for excellence and want to ensure you are fully satisfied. Should any deficiencies need to be address with a vendor we will contact and work to resolve in timely manner.
